LAKE OSWEGO PUBLIC LIBRARY, 706 Fourth St., Lake Oswego 97034 (503-636-7628). Books, compact discs, videos, DVDs and audio cassettes. Hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sunday, 1 to 6 p.m. Free preschool story hours offered Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m ages 3 and 5. Toddler storytime (19 months to 3 years) is Wednesdays at 11:45 a.m. Story hour breaks for a three week period in March, the month of June, the month of August and most of December. Children’s programs are offered on a regular basis. Stop by to pick up a schedule. Crafts, musical events and special guest performers available for children at various times as well as programs for teens. For youth program information, call (503-697-6580). Those interested in volunteering should call (503-675-2538). The Booktique, a used bookstore at Mercantile Medical Plaza, 3975 Mercantile Drive (503-699-9109), is operated year round. Friends of the Lake Oswego Library staff the Booktique Tuesdays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

MARSHALL N. DANA MEMORIAL LIBRARY, Clackamas Community College, 19600 S. Molalla Ave., Oregon City 97045 (503-657-6958, Ext. 2288). The library contains about 50,000 volumes and is geared towards the college’s students. Public Library is open to all Clackamas County residents. The library distributes citizen cards available to anyone providing proof of a permanent address in Clackamas County.

SHOEN LIBRARY, Marylhurst University, 17600 Pacific Hwy, P.O. Box 261, Marylhurst 97036 (503-699-6261). Open to any Clackamas County resident with a local library card. Built in 1967, the library offers more than 100,000 books and 400 serials, newspapers, periodicals and documents. Streff Gallery, main floor, specailzes in art works exhibits works by community artists, students and alumni. Call for summer term hours. Fall term hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

WEST LINN PUBLIC LIBRARY, 1595 Burns Street, West Linn 97068 (503-656-7853). Remodeled in 2002. Free story hours: birth through age 3 lap sit, 10 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays; ages 3 to 6, 11 a.m. Thursdays and Fridays. No registration required. Hours are Monday to Wednesday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 12 to 5 p.m.
